Board of Directors

Adam Young

Adam became full-time Chairman of Redburn in July 2021, having previously served on the Redburn Board as a non-executive director since the beginning of 2020, the date of Rothschild & Co’s investment in the Company. Adam has 36 years investment banking experience, having run businesses in Europe, the United States and Asia – primarily in the equity capital markets area. Prior to becoming Chairman, Adam was Global Co-Head of Equity Advisory at Rothschild & Co.

Alice Squires

Alice Squires joined the Board as a non-executive director in July 2021. She has over 25 years’ experience in finance, advising companies and engaging with investors. She is currently a Managing Director and co-head of Investor Advisory at Rothschild & Co where she specialises in activism and ESG risks and opportunities. In addition, she is a trustee for the NMR Pension Fund and former Head of Pan European Small and Mid-Cap Sales at Deutsche Bank. Alice holds an M.A. in Economics and Politics from Edinburgh University.

Jeremy Evans

Jeremy Evans is a co-founder of Redburn and Senior Partner. Previously he was Head of UK and European Equities at Flemings. Following the acquisition of Flemings by JP Morgan Chase in 2000, he was appointed a Managing Director of JP Morgan. He is a co-founder and Chairman of the Egmont Trust. Jeremy is a graduate of Cambridge University.

Brian Schwieger

Brian Schwieger has been an independent non-executive director since July 2021. Brian has over 20 years’ experience in finance and has held senior roles at Morgan Stanley, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and the London Stock Exchange, where he acted as the Managing Director for Capital Markets and Global Head of Equities until 2021. Brian holds a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics, an MSc in Finance from the London Business School and a Certificate in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors.

Robert Miller

Robert Miller has 35 years’ experience in the equity research market. He joined Redburn in 2005 as a Retail analyst. Robert managed the firm’s Research team from 2008-2018, after which he managed the Research Services business. He is a Partner and member of the Group Management Committee. Robert is a graduate of Cambridge University.

Ben Burston

Ben Burston is the Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary. He is a Chartered Accountant and previously worked in the Financial Services division of PricewaterhouseCoopers. He holds an M.A. in Economics from Cambridge University.

John Stier

John Stier has been an Independent non-executive director since January 2021. He is the Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee and was appointed Senior Independent Director in January 2022. John was the Chief Financial Officer of Equiniti Group plc until 2021. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants with a background in corporate finance. John was previously the Chief Financial Officer of Northgate Information Solutions plc (NIS) for over ten years. Prior to this, he was the Chief Financial Officer of Subterra Ltd, a subsidiary of Thames Water Plc which delivered engineering services to businesses across Europe.

Nick Pink

Nick Pink has been an Independent Non-Executive Director since July 2021 and Chair of the Remuneration Committee since January 2022. He is also a Non-Executive Director at JP Morgan Russian Securities plc and Ruffer Investment Company Limited. This followed a senior management career at UBS Investment Bank, ultimately as Global Head of Research and prior to that as Head of European Equities, Head of European and Asian Equity research. Nick also serves as a Governor of Brighton College and St Christopher’s Prep School, Hove. Nick is a graduate of Cambridge University.
